In Two Summers by New York Times Bestselling Author, Aimee Friedman, we are presented with quite the dilemma for our main character, Summer. "What if...?" Yes, "what if," the age old question we ponder periodically. For Summer, it was what if she went to France or what if she stayed in New York? How would things play out differently?  I didn't know what to expect when I first turned the pages of Two Summers, but by a chapter in, I knew I had to go on. We need to know where does life take her in this parallel time story.  I can't seem to remember any stories or movies I've watched with the parallel universe theme going on, but I'm definitely intrigued.  I enjoyed how the author so effortlessly draw us into each of these universes, yet, still kept who Summer is consistent.  In each, we're still able to understand, feel and root for Summer. We have different questions, but in the end what mattered most was how Summer carried on with her life, and when secrets are revealed, will she wish it was different? An engaging and refreshing read, not to mention kind of have me envision myself traveling!

Aimee Friedman was born and raised in Queens, New York, in an apartment filled with books and different languages. She wrote her first story at the age of five, and was off and running from there. Aimee wrote all through her years as a student at the Bronx High School of Science and then Vassar College. After graduating from college in 2001, she became a children's book editor, a job she still does, and loves, to this day! Aimee published her first novel, the New York Times bestseller, South Beach, in 2005, and is now the author of several novels for young adults, the latest being Two Summers. Aimee lives in New York City, where she can usually be found writing in cafes, window-shopping, or searching for the perfect iced latte.

Hello. Choosing my Bible to work around migraine

How did you choose your current Bible? Is this your first Bible?  I'll get into how I chose my current Bible, at least my main one. First, I would like to explain why I needed a new one. It all started with my determination to focus on reading the Bible if that's the only reading (and accomplishment) I get done in the day.  Since my migraine became chronic, reading had become unbearable for a variety of reasons associated with the symptoms.  This includes reading the Word, let alone studying it. In truth, there was a huge spiritual warfare going on during the time. That's another focus for another day.  My Bible has been with me for years. I loved everything about it, and to be unable to read it, I was frustrated and lost. Then an epiphany came on a lucid morning. June is National Migraine & Headache Awareness Month.   It's only since being diagnosed with migraines have I started understanding how vast and severely debilitating a disease it is. Migraine is a disabling disease that affects 37 million people in the United States.
