Some Books to Fall Back On, Always

Image
FALL is here! And since I've been under the weather for some time, I thought of some books from previous years one can enjoy when they need a little pick-me-up! The following stories do not include any classics since if we add in those, it might be too much. Just click on the cover image to take you to my review. For a good Amish  read that touches on topics of the home, and where home is, this anthology from Thomas Nelson & Zondervan Fiction with stories from Beth Wiseman, Amy Clipston, Ruth Reid & Kathleen Fuller will keep you all warm inside! Another Amish story, but this one I would reread for the love story set during a magical time of the year , and in Pinecraft! One of my favorites from Shelley Shepard Gray for sure! Ahhh... how could I not include this amazing book from one of my favorite authors, Julie Lessman? Isle of Hope  falls under the Contemporary Fiction that will require some tissues  and some gut-wrenching and soul-searchi...

2017 Summer READING Bucket List

Image
Remember when I posted my 2017 Bucket List back in May? (If not, click on the image above to take you there.) Well, the first thing on my list was to READ. And as you know, I got that down pact. My goal is to focus on inspiring reads, which doesn't necessarily mean Christian fiction, though a majority of it will be.  Here's just a bit (10) of what's already on my never ending TBR list that I hope by October, will be read. I think it has something to do with how I wish to see more of the Christmas spirit happening during the rest of the year. This one, An Amish Christmas Love  is on the top of my list for several reasons. One, it has an a...

Experiences, Not Things! The Rest of 2017 Bucket List!

Experiences, Not Things!   What am I doing?! It's already May and now  I'm talking about my 2017 bucket list?  Better late than never, right? In honesty, I think May is a great time to work on the rest of the year. Why? First, it's right before the summer, when great weather inspires us to get our legs moving. Second, we still have more than half the year to get our yearly resolutions to fruition. Right?  Well, here's my list (not in any order). LOL. Yes. Read. For this booknerd, you'd think I have this one down pact, wouldn't you? No. I don't. You see, my reading TBR is more than a mile-long, but I think strategically, reading is more than that. My goal for the rest of the year is to read, but also to share and to encourage. Share about the book, but also to encourage reading clean  reads. I went to a Young Adult Book Festival earlier in the year and I was absolutely appalled by the content the organizers focused on. Books are about fun and cre...
