Sister Dear by Laura McNeill is the kind of suspense that is obvious, yet still gives readers something to look forward to. I mean, just from the title and early on in the story, the cat's out of the bag so to speak. Yet, it's the psychological aspect of the characters' struggles that engross us and kept us reading. The plot is simple, but also intricate in the events and how they played out, beginning from the days when our main characters, Allie & Emma were little.  The characters are not what they seem - disturbing in their minds, and also in yours. Not many "villains" can claim the "hate" word from me, but the one in this story sure stir up some strong emotions as such.  Surprising, it is not, but Sister Dear is well written on all aspects, from character development to emotional grasp and plot intensity.

Choosing my Bible to work around migraine

How did you choose your current Bible? Is this your first Bible?  I'll get into how I chose my current Bible, at least my main one. First, I would like to explain why I needed a new one. It all started with my determination to focus on reading the Bible if that's the only reading (and accomplishment) I get done in the day.  Since my migraine became chronic, reading had become unbearable for a variety of reasons associated with the symptoms.  This includes reading the Word, let alone studying it. In truth, there was a huge spiritual warfare going on during the time. That's another focus for another day.  My Bible has been with me for years. June is National Migraine & Headache Awareness Month.   It's only since being diagnosed with migraines have I started understanding how vast and severely debilitating a disease it is. Migraine is a disabling disease that affects 37 million people in the United States.
