 Two years ago, Bailey Adams broke off her engagement to Danny Maxwell and fled Logan Point for the mission field in Chihuahua, Mexico. This is my first Patricia Bradley novel, and it won't be my last. Her suspense novels are full of depth and realism, as in her latest, Silence in the Dark. Being the 4th book of the Logan Point series, I wasn't sure if I would be lost or not. Luckily, this can be read as a standalone, and in truth, I didn't suspect there was a connection for some time. In Silence in the Dark, there are some tense moments of twists with a steady to fast pace throughout.   I must say though, this may be one of not many novels that the main protagonist, Bailey or the love interest, Danny does nothing for me. In truth, I'm not fond of her and their romance doesn't give me any warm fuzzies. That being said, what kept me turning the page was the plot and the suspense of the outcome, which gripped me enough to want to read more of Patricia's novels.  If you've read Silence in the Dark, what are your thoughts?

Choosing my Bible to work around migraine

How did you choose your current Bible? Is this your first Bible?  I'll get into how I chose my current Bible, at least my main one. First, I would like to explain why I needed a new one. It all started with my determination to focus on reading the Bible if that's the only reading (and accomplishment) I get done in the day.  Since my migraine became chronic, reading had become unbearable for a variety of reasons associated with the symptoms.  This includes reading the Word, let alone studying it.
