Christian Fiction Readers Retreat 2017 (CFRR) is HERE. Well, actually on Saturday, August 12th, 2017 to be exact. So as one of the cofounding Stewards, I'll be away from the blog to focus solely on CFRR for the next few days.  (Some of you might have already notice my lack of responses to the comments of other posts. Sorry about that.)

For those that wish you were going, but unfortunately for various reasons couldn't make it, there's always next year. (1) Winner will be selected at the end of the giveaway period to win a box of books consists of 3-5 books by participating authors of CFRR2017. Which titles and which authors' books to be included are at the discretion of the host, Just Commonly. 

One winning entry will be randomly generated through Rafflecopter within 3 days of close of giveaway.  Once announced on the blog, the winner has 48 hours to send mailing information to Just Commonly through contact form on the blog, or risk forfeiture of the prize.  Due to shipping costs, only US mailing addresses will be allowed to win.

Choosing my Bible to work around migraine

How did you choose your current Bible? Is this your first Bible?  I'll get into how I chose my current Bible, at least my main one. First, I would like to explain why I needed a new one. It all started with my determination to focus on reading the Bible if that's the only reading (and accomplishment) I get done in the day.  Since my migraine became chronic, reading had become unbearable for a variety of reasons associated with the symptoms.  This includes reading the Word, let alone studying it. In truth, there was a huge spiritual warfare going on during the time. That's another focus for another day.  My Bible has been with me for years. June is National Migraine & Headache Awareness Month.   It's only since being diagnosed with migraines have I started understanding how vast and severely debilitating a disease it is. Migraine is a disabling disease that affects 37 million people in the United States.
