GREAT. I’ve somehow found myself tangled up with a siren, a mermaid, and a homicidal wicked witch who once tried to strangle me to death. Way to go, Amber!

MY THOUGHTS

The Sweetest Kind of Fate by Crystal Cestari is one of those sweet young adult novels with a twist. The twist being the magical fantasy element in this series. Yes, it threads throughout the story, but I think the theme of jealousy held strong from the very first page. I enjoyed reading it from Amber's perspective, but she annoyed me at times for her assumptions! So what if her "gift" haven't failed her yet? A story about stepping out of one's own preconceived idea of how life will be versus living it as you want to.  There are moments that seems illogical and the end was anti-climatic leading me to believe there is a possibility to a third book.  Though, I still think this can be read as a standalone novel.  In all, I find The Sweetest Kind of Fate have its moments of sweetness and whimsy that brings a smile to readers.

    O, I forgot about Kiki's Delivery Service that I LOVED!! OK, Almost anything out of Studio Ghibli, I love. The covers are gorgeous! I think it'll be entertaining for you!

    Yea, witchy books are hard. It can be bad, but this series is decent. I want to backtrack and read book 1 first though to really get the back story, though this book does give it, but not in depth.

Choosing my Bible to work around migraine

How did you choose your current Bible? Is this your first Bible?  I'll get into how I chose my current Bible, at least my main one. First, I would like to explain why I needed a new one. It all started with my determination to focus on reading the Bible if that's the only reading (and accomplishment) I get done in the day.  Since my migraine became chronic, reading had become unbearable for a variety of reasons associated with the symptoms.  This includes reading the Word, let alone studying it. In truth, there was a huge spiritual warfare going on during the time. That's another focus for another day.  My Bible has been with me for years.
