Year-End 2016 Mystery & Suspense Favorite Reads + Giveaway


Welcome to my very late Year-End 2016 Favorites!!

 My year end favorite reads are books I've read in 2016 for the first time (and not necessarily all reviewed here - eek! or reviewed in 2016 - a few were posted in January 2017).  They are also not all published in 2016, but majority am. 

 To start it off, here's what's going to happen. Every day in through February 28th (minus Sunday) at 6:00 PM EST, 
  1. I will tell you my favorite reads in the category of the day through their covers (you know how I love covers) and 
  2. you click on them to see my review of the book (in a new window). 
  3. Then you come back and fill out the Rafflecopter for a chance to win a prize!

I started dabbling in the Mystery & Suspense category late 2015, and just love it! As of 2016, this is a genre that I always look forward to. The ones above are just the few that I've narrowed down. There are SOOOO many more 2016 releases that are on my TBR pile/list!  So forgive me if this doesn't cover all my favorite authors or the top mystery and suspense fiction out there!

    I know i know..very hard indeed! Took me like 3 months to comb through all and reread bits and pieces to narrow it down! Lol!

    Awesome. I know what you mean! I've always been interested in dystopian fiction, but they're typically from the general market. This year have been fabulous with Deep Shadows (Remnant series from Vannetta) and the Out of Time series from Nadine Brandines.

    WOW! I need to pick up on my suspense genre. All these authors are new authors for me in 2016! So I'm extremely thrilled to have encountered them and their books!

Choosing my Bible to work around migraine

How did you choose your current Bible? Is this your first Bible?  I'll get into how I chose my current Bible, at least my main one. First, I would like to explain why I needed a new one. It all started with my determination to focus on reading the Bible if that's the only reading (and accomplishment) I get done in the day.  Since my migraine became chronic, reading had become unbearable for a variety of reasons associated with the symptoms.  This includes reading the Word, let alone studying it. In truth, there was a huge spiritual warfare going on during the time. That's another focus for another day.  My Bible has been with me for years. June is National Migraine & Headache Awareness Month.   It's only since being diagnosed with migraines have I started understanding how vast and severely debilitating a disease it is. Migraine is a disabling disease that affects 37 million people in the United States.
