ABOUT THE BOOK
Maple
Valley became Amelia Bentley's haven after her heart and her dreams of a family
were shattered. But when the newspaper she runs is in danger of closing, she
pins all her hopes on a story that just might convince the new owner to keep
the paper running.
After his biggest campaign success yet, widowed speechwriter Logan Walker has the chance of a lifetime: a spot on a presidential campaign. But first he has to return to his hometown to sell the newspaper he's suddenly inherited.
But instead of a quick sale, Logan finds himself helping Amelia chase her story. She's scrappy, but wounded. He's dependable, but lost. And working together to break the story on Maple Valley's unsolved mystery is just the start of the sparks that fly in the office and in their hearts.

MY THOUGHTS
Like Never Before by Melissa Tagg shines with every sparkle a sweet romantic comedy can deliver, and impart a sort of wisdom that envelopes your heart and minds to the depth of your being.
"...I don't think God is out to confuse us. when multiple doors open up, maybe there's not a right and a wrong one. Maybe sometimes God says, 'Dude, choose.'" (253)
Chuckle at the witty comments from letters to real dialogue between Amelia and Logan, starting with some good old fashion movie references. (How many can you guess if you've read Like Never Before?) Then there's the soulful inner emotions that tugs at your heart, from Charlie's limited words to Logan's dilemma to Amelia's painful past. Each of their lives came to a point unexpectedly where they meet and find the answers to their dreams. I teared up when Amelia was finally able to push back and let go what has been in her heart for some time.
"...if you really want the dreams and desires of your heart to come into any kind of focus, maybe start by getting to know the one who gives us dreams in the first place." (314)
Expect to love and to enjoy all the moments you have with Amelia, Logan, Charlie and the rest of the Walker family gang. I for one will look forward to many more by Melissa and have to get my hands on the first Walker book, From the Start (Kate is sooo cool in Like Never Before). Yes, this is a book for those that love a strong family connection, but don't leave out the romantic aspect of it. It's the earmark of a good romantic comedy - connection, humor and heart-stopping kisses."One by one, she kissed each knuckle...She turned his hand over, pressed a kiss to his palm. Five. And everything stilled...'I let go of something today.' Maybe that was what he was doing now, as his fingers grazed her cheek, her hair tickling over his skin. He could lose himself in the copper warmth of her eyes. Except, no, this wasn't losing himself. This was finding something precious. And so he kissed her." (269)
